Mr Soong Hee Sang
Mr Soong has extensive experience in the investment management and real estate sectors. His employment in the early days of his career, include DBS Land (now known as CapitaLand following the merger with Pidemco Land), Richard Ellis (now known as CB Richard Ellis), GIC Real Estate and Arcasia Land (now known as Ascendas).
Mr Soong joined CapitaLand in 1998 where he held various senior executive positions. From 1998 to 2002, Mr Soong was Country Director and Managing Director for London, where he was responsible for real estate investment and asset management of CapitaLand's operations in the United Kingdom. From 2002 to 2004, he was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Commercial, of CapitaLand Commercial, where he was responsible for the commercial and industrial property portfolios totaling more than S$7 billion in value.
He was subsequently appointed Chief Executive Officer of CapitaCommercial Trust and was involved in its listing in Singapore in 2004. From 2004 to 2006, Mr Soong was the Chief Executive Officer (New Markets) of CapitaLand Residential Limited where he was in charge of CapitaLand Residential's foray into new and existing markets for residential developments such as India, Vietnam, Malaysia and Japan. He was later employed by GIC Real Estate, where he took on the role of Managing Director (Deputy Head Asia) from 2006 to 2013 and Managing Director (London) from 2013 to 2016.
Mr Soong has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Estate Management and a Master of Business Administration, both from the National University of Singapore.
